Junk removal and cleanouts in Tampa

Most Tampa garages haven't held a car in years. Cleanouts are the bulk of what we do: the crew sorts, carries and loads, you point at what stays, and the space is swept when they leave.

Spaces we clear

  • Garages that stopped fitting a car
  • Sheds and lanais full of broken patio furniture and rusted tools
  • Attics with decades of boxes
  • Spare rooms that became storage
  • Rental units between tenants
  • Whole houses before a sale or move

What we take

Furniture and mattresses

Sofas, dressers, bed frames, box springs and patio sets. See furniture and appliance removal.

Boxes and household goods

Clothes, books, toys, kitchenware, decorations and the bins they've lived in.

Yard and outdoor items

Grills, broken fencing, planters, pool toys, lawn equipment and old pavers.

Electronics

TVs, monitors, printers and computers, routed to e-waste recycling.

Exercise equipment

Treadmills, ellipticals and weight sets, taken apart on site if needed.

Bagged trash and debris

Anything already bagged, plus the loose stuff behind it.

How a cleanout goes

  1. Walk it with the crew. You show them what goes and what stays. Keep piles get taped off or moved to one side.
  2. Get the price. A firm number based on the truck space, given before anything is carried.
  3. Load and sort. Donatable furniture and household goods are set aside for charity pickup; metal and cardboard are separated for recycling.
  4. Sweep and check. The space is swept out, and you do a final walk before the truck leaves.

What affects the price

  • Truck volume. A quarter load, a half, three quarters or a full truck.
  • How far the crew carries. Garage-door access is the cheapest.
  • Heavy material like tile, concrete or dirt, which is priced by weight.
  • Fee items: mattresses, tires, refrigerant appliances, TVs.

You get a firm price when the crew sees the load, before anything is touched.

Storage in a state with no basements

Florida houses have no basements, and attics here hit 130 degrees, so everything ends up in the garage, the shed or on the lanai. Humidity does the rest: cardboard softens, upholstery mildews and anything particleboard swells and crumbles. By the time most people call, half of what's stored is no longer usable, which is why cleanouts here are bigger than they look from the doorway.

Hillsborough and Pinellas both charge disposal fees by weight at the county facilities, and those fees are built into the quote. Donatable items go to local charities that will accept them, which keeps them out of the landfill and off your bill.

Common questions

Do I have to sort before you come?

No. Point out anything you're keeping and the crew handles the rest. If you want to sort first, that lowers the volume and the price.

Will you donate usable items?

Yes, when a local charity will accept them. Charities are selective about upholstered furniture and mattresses, so those often have to be disposed of.

Can you clear a rental between tenants?

Yes. Property managers can send photos, approve the price by phone and have the unit ready for the next showing.

How long does a garage cleanout take?

A two-person crew clears a typical packed two-car garage in two to three hours.
